Why You Have To Stop Blaming Others

By Administrator

Today I was reading an article on Web Pro News which was talking about the latest bill that the US government is trying to pass through the senate.

This bill, if it gets passed, will mean that online retailers will have to pay state taxes just like bricks and mortar stores.

You can read the article at http://www.webpronews.com/white-house-comes-out-in-favor-of-online-sales-tax-bill-2013-04.

And I couldn't help but think that this will be just one more thing for inactive people to blame for their inactivity.

I was also watching Judge Judy one afternoon last week (Judge Judy is my 3pm couch and lunch appointment every week day - gotta love the judge) and she was trying the case of a landlord who was complaining about a tenant who hadn't paid rent for the last two months that she lived in one of her apartments.

The tenant stated that the reason she hadn't paid rent was because, (and this excuse had me laughing out loud) she ran her own business and because the national economy was bad, her business wasn't making as much money, and because she wasn't to blame for the state of the economy, she shouldn't have to pay rent.

There was a lot of guffaws in the court room from Court Bailiff Petri Hawkins-Byrd, Judge Judy and the people in the gallery.

And the reason they were all laughing was because the economy (nor new senate bills about state taxes) has anything to do with a business's success or failure.

All you have to do is stop paying attention to these things and get on with what you need to do to make your writing business a success.

I've even heard authors complaining about not being able to make sales with Amazon Kindle books because they would have to pay tax to sell ebooks through Amazon. So they don't submit their ebooks and then complain that they can't make money?

That doesn't even make sense.

So what if you have to pay some tax on your ebook sales or if the economy isn't as good as it should be?

If you're writing and selling your work, you're making money.

No excuses.

If you want to be a success, don't complain all the time. Don't blame the economy or the tax system.

Do what you know you should be doing and just get on with it.

If there's a course you need to buy or a new avenue you need to pursue to make more sales, just do it.

In active people have inactive bank accounts.

Get busy and start writing more.

And if you need more incentive to work harder, download The 12 Month Writing Challenge - if you dare.

This course is not for the meek and mild.

It is full-on writing and publishing for a whole year.

It doesn't accept excuses about anything. You just have to keep on working no matter what.

Are you up to the challenge?

Or do you just want to wait and blame someone or something else for your failures?

Don't wait till you think of another excuse for not writing.
