Why is Focusing So Easy to Say Yet So Damn Hard to Do?

Having the ability to focus 100% on what you’re doing seems easy to do when you’re talking about it, but actually doing it is really hard.

So if you want to be more focused and get more done and work better, what can you do about it?

“All you need to do is focus.”

You hear people saying that all the time and it sounds so easy.

But in reality it isn’t easy at all.

We so often hear people talk about writers’ block too. But in my humble, yet extremely accurate opinion, writers’ block is nothing more than a lack of focus. It’s as though you want to sit down and write but your mind is jumping around and thinking of other things all the time.

It’s just a lack of ability to focus.

And we know focusing is difficult because there are so many books and courses about it.

You also only have to see how often Buddhist monks and other meditators practice to know that it must take a long time to perfect.

Most people wrongly believe that meditation is about emptying your mind of all thoughts. But that’s impossible to do. Our minds are always thinking. ALWAYS.

Meditation is actually about focusing your mind on only one thing without deviating.

That’s why meditators close their eyes, or stare at a candle flame or repeat the word ‘om’ (because ‘om’ has no meaning so it helps to focus the attention without distractions).

But what if you could focus 100% on everything you do?

Can you actually imagine what that would be like?

You’d be able to accomplish miracles.
